《Simple Is the Most Beautiful Language》

In Japanese, there is a beautiful saying: "Simple is beautiful."（シンプルは美しい）
It is more than just a phrase—it is a way of living.

In the quiet afternoons after teaching, I enjoy brewing a pot of tea and placing a single white flower beside me.
Nothing more is needed—only the gentle fragrance of flowers and the warmth of sunlight.
In that simple space, my mind becomes still, and my thoughts grow clear.

Japanese sentences are often short, yet capable of expressing profound meaning.
Floral design is no different. The simpler an arrangement becomes, the more clearly the life of each flower shines through.
When we stop chasing complexity and begin appreciating simplicity,
peace and beauty naturally begin to flow into our lives.

Teaching Japanese and arranging flowers have both taught me the art of letting go.
