There was once a time when I hurried through every creation.
I wanted every arrangement to be perfect,\nevery lesson to be flawlessly prepared.
But the more I rushed,\nthe more I realised\u2014
inspiration is like a flower;\nwhen hurried, it struggles to breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later,\nI learned to let go.
Sometimes,\nI simply brew a cup of tea, watch the changing light beyond my window,
or quietly trace the delicate lines of a flower.
Then,\nthe feeling of wanting to create\ngently emerges,
like the first shoots of spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In floral design,\n\nwaiting is one of the most important lessons.
Waiting for a flower to bloom.\nWaiting for water to settle.\nWaiting for leaves to unfold.
Every step has its own time.
In Japanese, there is a beautiful word:\n\n\u300c\u3086\u3063\u304f\u308a\u300d(yukkuri)\u2014
to slow down,\nto take one's time.\n\nIt is not only a way of living,\n\nbut also a quiet way of being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I often tell my students:
Learning a language is much the same.
Do not be afraid to forget,\nand do not rush to memorise everything.
As long as you spend a little time with the language each day,
it will quietly take root within your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Life is much like an unopened flower.
If we are willing to give it\n\ntime\n\nand space,
it will naturally bloom\n\nin its own season,\n\nand in its own colours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Slowing down is not falling behind.\n\nIt is allowing every moment
to become quietly fragrant.
For inspiration\n\ndoes not need to be chased.
