《Learning Japanese Through the Language of Flowers: Opening the Heart Through Beauty》

Many people ask me, “How can I learn Japanese well?”
I always smile and reply, “Learn it the same way you would appreciate flowers.”

In floral design, every flower has its own language.
For example, cherry blossoms symbolize the beauty of a fleeting moment,
while baby's breath represents quiet companionship and gentle waiting.
In language, every word also has its own soul.

When I combine the language of flowers with Japanese learning,
students often discover that learning is no longer something rigid or mechanical — it becomes an experience.
For example:

When pronouncing the word, imagine a flower gently blooming before your eyes and feel the soft rhythm of the sound ha-na.
🌼 「こころ (心)」(kokoro – heart)
Learning this word is not simply about memorizing vocabulary.

It is also about understanding the delicate and emotional ways Japanese people express their feelings.
